*sigh*
FINALLY. I’m back to my morning yoga after 5 days of a yoga vacation. See, I was transitioning from one pose to the warrior post and pulled that major muscle in my back. I can’t remember what the muscle is called, it’s the one under the bottom of the wing bone in the back. You know…the one that like holds the whole body together? If you lift your leg it pulls that muscle. If you raise your arm it pulls that muscle. If you fart…it pulls that muscle. (well, maybe not, but whatever.) Now I know what a marionette feels like.
Anyhow, I DID get to sit with a heating pad in my recliner for two days and have everyone ask me if they could get me anything. “You don’t have to cook dinner mom…there’s plenty of leftovers”. It was like music to my ears. They love me. They realllly love me. (or…they were afraid I might die and they’d have to clean the toilet and go grocery shopping by themselves.)
:)
Anyhow, it feels great to be back into the morning routine. And I now know first hand the purpose of slow and steady regarding yoga poses.
