Okay, so our cabbie (key word) drove us into San Francisco in the morning and we spent the day in the city. Touring it both on foot and on a double decker bus was really fun! We probably should of spent the night in the city….next time we will. You could spend a couple days here literally…it’s huge and packed with stuff to do! We even took a streetcar ride. And, of course, the car we were on broke it’s cable. Par for the course. Thankfully we didn’t like plummet down the street or anything. The boardwalk was awesome and entertaining and we met people there from all over the world. We exchanged cameras with a couple of Australian guys to take group photos. Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie! Oy Oy Oy!
I don’t think I investigated San Fran enough because we ended up going to all the cruddy parts of town. Poor homeless people lying about. The one bathroom we found in Chinatown was COVERED in feces. (It was as if an ass exploded in there. Fo’ realz) It was really…really bad.
Btw, that hill almost killed me. OMG, so steep!
Then, it was back to the hotel and the beach! In the morning we drove off to Muir Woods to see the Redwoods. MC complained the whole time because we didn’t tell her fifteen times she didn’t hear us when we said we were going to be hiking and walking a lot. It was a beautiful misty morning. The fog in this area is incredible. Especially around the high elevations and hairpin winding turns…and don’t they make guard rails in California? Seriously!
We also drove past the bay where Laci Peterson was found and said a little prayer for her.
All in all it was a great time in California. With the exception of the traffic. And the crappy Holiday Inn in Pacifica. Now we’d leave Cali and head towards Arizona with just a couple stops along the way.
Stay tuned!
